. . . and I'm really glad I'm not going to work in this - gotta love the day off.
I've been working my ASS off recently, and it's been taking a severe toll. Not to mention the humidity of the past few weeks has been messing with my knees, so I'm really glad that it's coming down outside, finally.
Work's been good, though. I saw Martin Gerber in the store this weekend - I said hi, he said hi, then he left.
And I finally found out what's wrong with my feet and why it's agony 24/7: plantar fasciitis. So when I can afford the $300 (each) orthotics I need, life will be all good. Fortunately, I got this news the same day I found out that I am (FINALLY) covered under Andy's medical insurance (we started applying in JULY). So all is not lost.
So that's my story right now. Just killing time until my parents come over for tea. My mother has not yet seen the new place, so I was doing some tidying earlier, and now I'm resting the old feets . . .
I can't help it - I love when people make Canada jokes. And this one is a hockey one, no less.
So I have another set of works in the works. Seven days straight, grooming and whatnot.
I'm going to be tired and not-posty again. Not that I've been posty.
Anyway, went to see the Sens kill the Devils again today, and Andy, Will, and Greg got to be in the puck race. Pictures are on Flickr and Facebook. Enjoy.
Finally - a break.
I worked 12 hours yesterday, first as a groomer, then as my regular job. And we got three shipments of food in yesterday, most of which I had to carry downstairs and put away.
I'm still so physically tired I'm not quite sure what to do with myself. Did the housecleaning and now I'm crashed on the couch, mindlessly watching Ultraviolet, which, I maintain, is still the worst movie I've ever seen in theatres. And probably one of the worst I've seen in my house.
And now I'm staring blankly at my computer screen, contemplating whether or not I have enough energy to create sweet potato soup, or if I will simply sit here for the rest of the day.
Still debating . . .
Sorry for the no-posts (if you cared). One of the groomers at work has fallen seriously ill and I'm pulling overtime trying to fill in for her, at the same time trying to finish my scholarship applications and such.
I promise to post more better soon.
