My wedding shoes . . .
These ones?
Or these ones?
I have to wear flats because my plantar fasciitis won't allow for anything else. And I'm wearing pink shoes because I refuse to wear white ones. I'll get them dirty and feel weird about wearing them again.
I think the first pair would be the most comfortable to wear all day, with that nice cork sole and a little bit of a heel, but the second ones are prettier.
Thoughts?
Posted by Ally at March 11, 2009 04:56 PMIs your dress long enough to cover them? Cause, no offense muffin, but both look like old lady shoes. :) If it covers them, go with the comfortable ones. If not, go with pretty. Also gold, sivler or a light bronze metalic are much prettier than white.
Posted by: jen at March 12, 2009 11:26 AMI say the second set. I'm fairly certain that my grandmother wore that first pair when she was 17, back in 1940.
Posted by: Chelle at March 12, 2009 12:43 PMOuch.
Neither of them are my ideals, either, but they're the prettiest ones I could find.
All the flat shoes available ALL look like old lady shoes.
And the dress *should* cover them for the most part.
Posted by: Alio at March 12, 2009 08:03 PMFor god's sake Alison, even ballet flats would be more attractive. You could even stick orthapedic inserts in them for your "old lady" foot condition.:) What about a simple sivler flip flop? Or even a blue pair? That covers your "something blue". If you won't do a flip flop, what about a flat mule slide with thin straps? Honestly, you move to Newfoundland and loose all sense of stlye? I love you muffin but you need a shoe intervention. STAT!
Posted by: Jen at March 13, 2009 09:14 AMTrust me, all the ballet flats I've found so far are even clunkier than these.
And I am open to suggestions ...
p.s. I can't be blamed for losing my style - you should see how the people DRESS here: skin tight jeans showing off hefty muffin tops, neon-streaked hair and striped tshirts. It's an epidemic.
Posted by: Alio at March 13, 2009 11:59 AMYou can find flats??? By god I'll give you flats! Gimme five minutes...

Posted by: Chelle at March 13, 2009 04:11 PMI like the bottom ones... I don't think they're old lady shoes. Once they're on they'll look sweet.
I saw these the other day and I think they're pretty cute... silver or gold might work. aldoshoes[dot]com/ca-eng/women/sandals/fashion-flats/73505712-penniston/82

Posted by: Alio at March 14, 2009 09:47 AMJess, I saw those ones too but they're a little plain . . .
Posted by: Alio at March 14, 2009 09:49 AMHmmm true. Especially when you have a superfrikingorgeous dress (word on the street). How flat do they have to be?
Posted by: Jess at March 16, 2009 10:59 PMPretty damned flat.
I already tried to run those Aldo shoes past the MoH to no avail, Chel. YOU try reasoning with her.
Posted by: Alio at March 17, 2009 10:20 AMWhat the hell is wrong with the shoes I chose???
Posted by: Chelle at March 19, 2009 11:37 AMThey're all a little meh.
There's a couple fancy schmancy shoe places near my office. I think once spring rolls around I'll take a gander at them . . . and likely walk away $300 poorer, but with nice shoes.
